Accelerate2Success provides Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) training, where YOU can achieve a Green Badge and teach learner drivers! We deliver this in 3 parts, matching the DVSA qualification.

Part 1: Theory and Hazard Perception

The theory test involves 100 multiple choice theory questions lasting 90 minutes. To pass, you need an overall score of at least 85/100 and 20/ 25 in all 4 categories.

After this, you will spend 30 minutes watching 14 hazard perception videos to spot hazards as soon as they appear. To pass, you need 57/75. You must pass both tests to pass Part 1.

Part 2: Driving Ability

Here, you partake in an advanced practical driving test, in order to demonstrate excellent driving skills and strong Highway Code knowledge. It is 60 minutes long and covers 5 parts: vehicle safety, eyesight check, manoeuvres, general driving ability, and independent driving. To pass you need less than 6 driving faults and certainly no serious or dangerous faults

Part 3: Instructional Ability

You’ll deliver a 60 minute lesson where you’ll be tested on 17 areas of competence, grouped into 3 categories: lesson planning, risk management, and teaching and learning strategies. After the lesson, the examiner will discuss your performance, give you your result and your completed Part 3 test report. To pass, you need a grade A or B.

If you pass the Part 3 test, you can apply for your first ADI badge within a year of passing the test. However, if you don’t, you can retake the test within 2 years of passing your Part 1 test.

Part 1: £30 per hour for one-to-one guidance and books (when applicable).

Part 2 and 3: £50 per hour for one-to-one guidance and shadow/observational sessions.

Admin Charges are £149.99 (one time charge for the whole course).
